Prior to removing the Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes, first detach the negative
Battery Cable from the post and protect it. Hold down on the brake pedal using a brake pedal tool before any brake fluid can flow out of the reservoir while you work on the brake system. Remove (4) and (3) brake tubes from the master cylinder (1) at the ABS ICU (2), then seal them with caps and add sealing plugs to the filler ports of the brake tubes from the ICU. Following this, remove the chassis
Brake Lines (1, 2, 2, 3 and 4) from the ICU (5), cap the ends, insert sealing plugs in the open ports on the ICU and seal them. Do this by pressing the middle tab which causes the release lever to pop up and pulls the ABM connector out of the module's socket. After that, take the wiring connector off the ABM. Take off the two ABS ICU bracket bolts, pick up the ICU and remove it from the car body. If you must separate the ABM and HCU, DO that.
