How to Service and Repair a Pressure Plate on Chrysler Crossfire?

The clutch cover should be serviced or repaired after removing the transmission. While loosening all the bolts, label the link between the clutch cover and the flywheel as you remove them bit by bit 1 to 1 1/2 turns. Once you've removed the bolts, remove the clutch cover. If you reuse the clutch cover, fit an old release bearing or pipe inside to depress the diaphragm, align the adjusting ring to the right mark. Set the clutch disc and cover onto the flywheel, finger-tighten the bolts holding the clutch cover and use a universal tool to align the clutch plate. Tighten the clutch cover bolts about one full rotation at a time, then when all bolts are fully in place, tighten them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Following this, take out the clutch alignment tool and install the transmission back again.
