The condenser, found between the radiator and the front
Bumper, does not need to have the cooling system emptied or the radiator taken out before service. Begin by removing the refrigerant from the system and afterward, detach and cap both lines at the condenser. After that, get rid of the upper radiator bracing and cross-member, then use Special Tool kit 7193 to remove the condenser lines from the quick disconnect couplers. After that, disconnect the mounts holding the radiator fan module and the screws holding the condenser, ensuring you don't damage the condenser inlet tube during this operation. Lifting out the radiator from the lower brackets, make sure to push down on the condenser to let the lower mounting brackets come off the radiator pins. As soon as the condenser is removed from the vehicle, fit the new condenser, tighten it down and reconnect the radiator fan supports. Attach the refrigerant lines to the condenser, install both sets of support bars and the cross-member above and make sure to fill the A/C system with refrigerant so that the foam seals completely cover the edge of the condenser to maintain airflow in these systems.
