Use a recovery device to take out the refrigerant and unfasten the ground wire from the expansion valve after that. After that, remove the bolt connecting the suction and liquid lines to the expansion valve, then take out each of the two retaining bolts from the expansion valve. Following that, remove the expansion valve and the gasket. A new gasket should always be inserted when you fit a new expansion valve. Set the new gasket and expansion valve on the evaporator, fasten and tighten them with the retaining bolts at 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). Join the suction and discharge hoses to the new seal on the expansion valve, tighten the refrigerant line bolt and put the ground wire and screw back into place on the expansion valve. After that, evacuate the system and recharge it with refrigerant.
