When servicing the heater core, inside the vehicle, be sure to disconnect the negative remote cable of the battery before you start. Should a large amount of coolant leak from the core, disconnect the A/C housing and take it apart to clean before you replace the heater core. Then, disconnect the instrument panel, draw out the coolant and take off the heater hoses near the cowl. Remove the outside cover of the heater A/C unit, then remove the screws holding the heater core cover. With these done, the heater core can be taken out. Set the heater core into its place in the heater housing, attach the cover with the screws you received and tighten them evenly. First install the housing for your heater A/C system, then attach the instrument panel back into position. Afterward, put the coolant in the proper quantity and reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
