Chrysler Prowler Cruise Control Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Service the Cruise Control Switch Without Compromising Airbag Safety on Chrysler Prowler?
    A:
For cars with Air Bags, you must disconnect the negative Battery Cable, give the capacitor time to drain and only then maintain safety. First, remove the negative battery cable and then take out the air bag module. Then, unscrew the connector at the switch, slide off the switch-to-steering wheel mounting screw and remove the switch. To set up the switch, place it and install the mounting screw, using enough torque so the switch does not wobble (1.5 Nm / 15 in. lbs.). Next, attach the electrical link to the switch, replace the air bag module and lastly connect the negative battery cable.
