Chrysler Prowler Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on Chrysler Prowler?
    A:
Position the throttle so it is fully opened and then remove both the throttle and cruise control cables from the throttle lever to service and repair the servo. Put the vehicle up on a hoist and remove the two nuts that hold the speed control cable and mounting bracket onto the servo. Release the electrical plugs and vacuum hose and then take the cable off the servo to view the retaining clip. Put the clip on the cable while lining up the speed control cable sleeve hole with the pin of the servo, then secure the clip with the nut. Join the vacuum hose to the servo and connect the electrical wire and after that, attach both servo studs to the holes in the speed control cable and mounting bracket. Add the nuts, hold them down with a torque wrench at 12 Nm (106.2 in. lbs.), lower the vehicle and fasten the speed control and Throttle Cables to the throttle lever.
