How to Replace an Ignition Lock Cylinder on Chrysler Prowler?

Take off the negative battery cable to replace the ignition lock cylinder. Release the screw from the tilt lever, then pull out the tilt lever. Later, take out both the upper and lower covers on the steering column. Turn the ignition key to Run, so that the lock cylinder retaining bar is depressed. Depress the lock tab as you draw the ignition lock cylinder from its housing place. Install the cylinder by inserting the key into its lock and turning it to Run position. Later, check that the socket on the housing argus end is in Run position, too, before attaching the saddle pin to the shaft on the ignition lock cylinder. Insert the ignition lock cylinder into the housing so that its tab pops through the opening. Drop the key into the Ignition Position and pull it out. If you put in a new ignition lock cylinder, put in and set up a new interlock cassette and adjust the interlock cable as well. After that, place the upper and lower covers back on the steering column, fit the tilt lever and return the negative battery cable to its place.
