How to Service the Radiator fan on 2.0L/2.4L Engines on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

To perform radiator cooling fan service on 2.0L/2.4L engines, disconnect the negative cable from the battery and then remove the battery and battery tray. Drain the cooling system to a level lower than the upper radiator hose. Subsequently, remove the grille and the upper radiator closure panel and center brace. Remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator, and for turbocharged vehicles, remove the radiator inlet neck. Lift the vehicle and unplug the electrical connector of the radiator fan. To continue the removal process, lower the vehicle, then remove the remaining radiator fan attaching screws noting not to damage the radiator cooling fins and tubes in doing so when removing the lower two and left side radiator fan screws. Finally, remove the radiator fan from the engine bay.
