Before servicing the fuel pressure regulator, be sure the fuel system pressure is relieved, because it is continuously placed under pressure even when the engine is turned off. Both the fuel filter/fuel pressure regulator and
Fuel Pump are found on top of the fuel pump module and there is no need to remove the module. You should start by lifting the auto and taking out the
Fuel Tank. Open the fuel supply line from the Filter/Regulator nipple, then uncoil the spring tab on the Filter/Regulator side and move the assembly 90 degrees counter clockwise to get it out, making sure the O-rings remain. Before you install, smear the O-rings with a small amount of engine oil, join the Filter/Regulator and fuel pump module at the opening and align the hold down tabs with the flange. Twist the Filter/Regulator clockwise as you put pressure down until the spring tab enters the complimentary slot. Attach the fuel tank, link the Filter/Regulator to the fuel line and remove your vehicle from the hoist.
