  Open the Throttle Body lever in the wide open position before beginning the throttle cable and linkage service. Begin installation by inserting both the housing end fitting and the grommet into the car's dash panel, checking that the grommet is correct in place. Attach the cable housing near the throttle body to the working pivot on the engine. Within the car, push down again on the pedal and insert the throttle cable and retainer at the higher end of the shaft. Place the cable retainer clip between the end of the throttle cable fitting and grommet at the dash panel, turn the throttle wide open and secure the cable into the engine compartment.

  The 31TH automatic transmission's throttle valve cable/linkage service and repairs should be started by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery. After that, pull off the pin joining the cable core to the throttle lever and take off the cable retainer from the throttle body bracket. After that, disconnect the cable at the throttle valve lever on the transaxle as well as the cable retainer from the transaxle bracket. First, put the throttle valve cable onto the transaxle mounting bracket and attach its end to the transaxle throttle lever. Go through the center of both Intake Manifold cylinders, then put the throttle valve cable retainer on the throttle body bracket and the cable clip on the throttle lever.
