How to Remove and Service a Wiper Motor on Chrysler Town & Country?

Before removing the front wiper motor, first stop the battery current by taking of the negative cable. Following that, pull the wiper arms straight off and take the washer hose out from the in-line connector next to the air cleaner housing. Open the cowl grille and cut the washer hose grommet loose from the wiper module hole. Then, pull the washer hose and its grommet all the way through the tub hole in the wiper module. After taking off the cowl grille, watch out for scratches on the edge of the hood. Get rid of the brace nuts securing the wiper tub to the lower windshield fence and follow that by removing the four bolts underneath the wiper tub holding it to the bulkhead. Loosen and remove all four inner support brace mounting nuts and pull the inner braces off the mounting studs so the wiper tub may come down slightly. Separate the driver and passenger side wiper link ends from their pivot points, then loosen and remove the two mounting nuts on the left wiper motor assembly and the two right ones as well. Lift mostly up the wiper motor assembly inside the wiper tub, remove its electrical connector and then remove the assembly from the vehicle.

How to Install a Wiper Motor and Crank Assembly on Chrysler Town & Country?

Attach the wiper motor and crank to the wiper bracket using three screws that are tightened to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Ensure you put some Mopar grease between the links before joining them to the motor crank. After that, put the wiper module onto the vehicle and next, install the cowl grille. Gently connect the battery negative cable and then go on to put the wiper arms in place. Line up the wiper arms and tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) as the last step.
