Chrysler Voyager Brake Proportioning Valve is a key component that emphasizes more on the durability and capability of Chrysler minivans. This brake proportioning valve serves to manage brake fluid pressure thus providing the optimal possible brake calibration especially when the given car model has the disc brake at the front and the drum at the rear. Thanks to this Assembly, the rear brakes on the Chrysler Voyager do not engage before the front brakes on sudden deceleration, which guarantees improved car safety and controllability and should be installed on all Voyager models. From this section, it is clear that Chrysler has over the years come up with many types of Brake Proportioning Valves, each designed in the most proper way to moderate pressure in the right manner to ensure that braking force is distributed equally. This capability is useful in enhancing vehicle stability especially when the car experiences an emergency kind of brake and thus consolidates the on the Chrysler Voyager brand as a safe car to use. Apart from focusing on GT, revised Voyager is claimed to be originally compatible with multiple Voyager's models, much to the sixth generation ones; thereby the Brake Proportioning Valve is used to cope with different driving condition needs. It has special features like the capacity to change output forces in relation to brake line characteristics that placed Chrysler Voyager Brake Proportioning Valve in a prestige place in automotive market. Chrysler Voyager is still a popular minivan with the total sales exceeding 12 million units, and it is beloved by families, especially the engine component called Brake Proportioning Valve that significantly affects the car's functionality and safety.

Chrysler Voyager Brake Proportioning Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Proportioning Valve on Chrysler Voyager?
    A:
Put a brake pedal depressor on the car to hold the brake pedal at 1 inch, so no fluid dries up in the master cylinder when connecting and disconnecting the brake tubes from the proportioning/combination valve. Lift the vehicle with jacks or a hoist and completely clean the proportioning valve and brake lines, so dirt cannot get inside. Remove the four brake hoses from the proportioning valve's inlet and outlet ports and then remove the two connectors that tie the proportioning valve and bracket to the vehicle. Getting beneath the jeep, slide the bracket out of its mounting point, lower the valve control enough to pull the actuator lever off the axle bracket and get the valve out of your vehicle. First, push the lever at the end of the actuator through the axle bracket grommet and second, slip the proportioning valve bracket under the rear track bar body bracket. Place the four chassis brake lines through the inlet and outlet ports of the proportioning valve, tighten all bolts in the valve body to a torque of 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs) and tighten the nuts on all the brake tubes to a torque of 17 Nm (145 inch lbs). Remember that you cannot adjust the height sensing proportioning valve, so carefully do not try to adjust it. Drain all the air bubble from the brake system, roll the vehicle up onto jacks and drive it down to the ground to test how it brakes properly.
