For ContiTeves brakes, start by pulling the caliper piston fully into its bore, adding a C-clamp if required and then stretch a wood block over the piston head. Install the brake caliper and shoes on the brake rotor and adapter and then insert the caliper guide pins, using a 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.) torque wrench. Next, slide the anti-rattle clip on to the outside section of the caliper, moving the clip legs past the caliper adapter's bolts. Place a new copper washer on the hose fitting at both the front and back of the fitting, slide in the banjo bolt, insert it into the rear of the caliper with the hole facing up and tighten it until it's firm. After placing the wheel and tire assembly, tighten the wheel mounting stud nuts in sequence, following the instructions for half torque and repeat the tightening by the full values of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). That's done, so roll it down and remove the brake pedal depressor, bleed the hydraulic brake system into the brake caliper, take it for a road test to wear off anything between the brakes and finally seat the brake shoe linings.
