Oil the engine at the recommended mileage and time, avoiding too many direct contacts with the oil, since internal combustion contaminants in engine oil could irritate or endanger your health. Always clean any visible part of your body with soap and water and don't employ gasoline, diesel fuel, thinner or solvents for this purpose. Ask your local dealer or check with the government for places where you can responsibly toss used engine oil. Run the engine to normal temperature, park the car on a level surface, then switch off the engine. Take out the oil fill cap and raise the car on safety stands before starting anything else. Situate a drain pan underneath the crankcase drain, take out the
Drain Plug and watch as the oil drains out into the pan while you look for problems on the drain plug threads. Unscrew the oil filter, attach again and tighten the drain plug in the crankcase afterward. Put in a new oil filter, drop the vehicle, pour the right kind and amount of oil into the crankcase and then screw on the new oil fill cap. Run the engine and look for any leaks and after switch the engine off to measure the oil level.
