- Q: How to Remove a Rear Door Window Regulator on Dodge Charger?A:The first thing to do is open the trim inside the door by unplugging it, then remove the watershield. Also, take out the door glass channel and the bracket, then unscrew the bottom of the pull cup bracket from inside the door. Unfasten the top screw on the pull cup bracket, slide it out from the hole in the cylinder and remove the bracket. Raise the rear door glass using the rear door regulator. This will reveal two window regulator clamps; adjust the screws in each clamp enough that the glass can be released. Lift the glass out of the clamps and attach it in the fully up position with tape. Unscrew the fastener that attaches the top of the rear regulator rail to the door and after that, unscrew the fastener for the regulator motor support bracket. Slide the screw loose at the bottom of the regulator rail, then lift the back side of the rail away from the keyed hole in the door. Move the door to access the lower regulator, disconnect the connector on the door wire harness from the motor through the front access hole and pull the regulator out of the vehicle through that same hole.
- Q: How to Install a Window Regulator for the Front Door on Dodge Charger?A:Open the door at the rear, then slide the regulator through the big access hole and into the door. Slide the screw at the top of the rear regulator rail into the keyed hole on the inside of the door behind the door. Attach the front regulator rail in the door so that the door wire harness connector can be plugged into the front regulator through the opening in the speaker mount on the door's inside. Insert the screw on the front regulator rail into the little keyed hole in the door near the front. Insert and fit the two screws that hold the regulator motor support bracket together with the inner side of the door, then tighten them to an accuracy of 10 Nm or 90 in. lbs. Mount the two regulators by tightening the screws in their insides to the keyed holes on the door, applying 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Unhook the tape on the door glass at the top, then lower the glass into the two window regulators attached to it. Moderate the movement of the window regulator with the regulator until you can reach both window regulator clamp screws and apply 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.) of torque to each of them. With the upper screw placed into the pull cup bracket, move the screw to fit inside the keyed part of the front door. Put in and secure the screw on the bottom side of the pull cup bracket to the inside of the front door with 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). Then apply 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.) of torque to the top screw joining the edges of the pull cup bracket with the inside of the front door. After that, place the watershield, speaker and trim panel on the inside of the front door.
