    Before starting to service the turn signal flasher, detach and set the battery negative cable apart. Take off the covering at the top of the steering column from the instrument panel. The relay and fuse block should be found on the back of the junction block, accessible by inserting your hand through the steering column opening on the instrument panel's outboard side. Get rid of the combination flasher from the relay and fuse block. When installing, place the flasher in the fitting on the relay and fuse block, so the terminals fit into the desired cavities.     Before servicing the turn signal flasher on vehicles with air bags, disconnect the battery negative cable, isolate it, wait two minutes, then reconnect it. The instrument panel connector for the combination flasher can be found by reaching from the outboard side of the Steering Column opening, where it is held in place by a mounting tab on the armature of the instrument panel. Pull gently on the flasher and its connector, driving them toward the dash panel, until the connector breaks loose from the mounting tab and then pull the combined flasher from the wire harness connector. To install, line up the terminals in the combination flasher with the holes in the instrument panel wire harness connector. Fit the combination flasher in and press it with your hands until the terminals make contact with the seatings. The slot on the combination flasher connector should be put over the tab on the instrument panel armature, then push the connector down onto the tab and make sure it stays on. After that, attach the battery negative cable.
