To service the blower motor resistor, disable the air bag system by unhooking the negative
Battery Cable and waiting two minutes for the system capsule to discharge. Unlock the hood and take out the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post. Take out the lower right underpanel silencer/duct and unplug the connector tied to the blower motor resistor. With the blower motor resistor's screws removed, pull the resistor out of the HVAC housing. Place the blower motor resistor into the bottom of the HVAC housing and attach it with two screws that you tighten to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Plug the harness connector onto the blower motor resistor, replace the lower right underpanel silencer/duct and attach the negative battery cable remote terminal to the remote battery post.
