  • Q: How to Replace the Fuse Box and Body Control Module (BCM) on Dodge Intrepid?
    A:
Before you change the Junction Block or the BCM, remember to cut the power by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable from the remote battery post, with the hood opened. Remove the end cap at the left front end of the driver's door and remove two screws on the lower instrument panel cover, pulling it backward to detach the clips. Before taking away the decklid, disconnect the wire and cable that run to the hood release. After that, pull out the left knee blocker and remove all under column ducts. Remove the four connectors holding the Junction Block/BCM assembly, then take out the Junction Block/BCM by unscrewing its mounting clips. Do not undo the charge wire connectors or the RKE antenna wire until all of the Junction Block/BCM plastic parts are out of the vehicle. When installing, put the Junction Block/BCM back into the vehicle and link up the wires from the BCM and RKE antenna. Hold the Junction Block/BCM in place, reattach the wire harness connectors and screw in the four mounting screws. Reattach the ducts for the under column, the left knee blocker and then join the cable with the hood and decklid release switch wiring. Put the lower instrument panel in place with two screws and install the left end cap. Next, plug the ground wire cable into the remote battery post.
