Undo and isolate the battery negative remote cable from the remote ground post before starting any service to the starter motor. Lift the car and get rid of the three bolts linking the starter to the engine. After that, remove the battery positive feed wire from the starter and get the starter solenoid assembly free from the housing. Engine Mount to the block. Raise the engine just a bit so you can pull out the rear part of the starter motor, sneaking it between the catalyst and engine mount. Unplug the starter solenoid from the posit-lock connector and take out the starter from your vehicle. While completing installation, remove the solenoid in the same way as removal, verify that all dirt and corrosion are cleaned from the terminals and then join the cable and wires to the solenoid. Instantly connect the posi-lock connector once you have put the starter in place.
