Before anything else, you need to make sure the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is turned off by breaking the negative
Battery Cable, isolating it from the rest of the car and waiting for two minutes to allow the system capacitor to empty itself. Move the left multi-function switch near the mounting bracket mounted to the left of the
Clock Spring and then attach the jumper wire harness to the switch housing. Place the tabs from the slide tabs on the switch housing within the channel formations on the Clock Spring mounting bracket, then seat the switch by sliding it until it is held in place. Lock the mounting tab on the side of the multi-function switch using a screw and tighten the screw to 1 Nm (10 in. lbs). Reconnect the wiring harness connector on the instrument panel to the back of the left multi-function switch and put the upper and lower shrouds over the steering column. Connect the battery negative cable last.
