  Before removing the Hydraulic Control Assembly for Antilock Brakes, use a brake pedal holder to push on the pedal past its first inch to separate the master cylinder from the brake hydraulic system. Cut off the negative cable and place it aside, then unscrew the positive cable and lift the battery from its tray. Release the air cleaner box by taking out the bolt and nut, taking off the wire at the air sensor and finally lifting the box to get to the Battery Tray bolt heads. Unbolt the battery tray with the two bolts and nuts, then cut the brake tubing free from the master cylinder, inserting plugs into the outlets. Unlock the 25-way connector from the Controller Antilock Brake on the Integrated Control Unit by pulling it away from the unit. Make sure the brake tubes are marked as primary and secondary so you do not mix them up and then unconnect and remove them at the Icu Hydraulic Control Unit. Undo the three bolts linking the Icu to the mounting bracket and remove the Icu from your vehicle. Place the Icu onto its bracket and attach it by tightening three bolts to 11 Nm. Place the four brake tubes into the ports on the Hcu, tighten the nuts to 17 Nm with a crow foot and a torque wrench and make sure the tube with the small nut is in the most forward port. Screw the brake tubes onto the master cylinder, only adjusting them loosely and fit the other end to the Hcu's brake taper before pressing both nuts to 17 Nm. Make sure the seal in the 25-way connector is properly put in place before you place the connector in the Cab socket and lock it. Replace the battery tray with two bolts and two nuts tightened to 15 Nm, then place and attach the air cleaner box. After installing the battery, fasten the bolt of the hold-down clamp to 12 Nm and then link the battery cables together, positive first. The Icu will require using the Drbiii scan tool for initialization after installation. When everything is connected, bleed the base brakes and Antilock Brake System, top off the master cylinder and take the vehicle out for a drive to check the brakes operate normally.

  Before starting on the Controller Antilock Brake, detach the negative Battery Cable and raise the car. Pull the connector free from the pump/motor attached to the Cab, remove the four screws fixing the Cab to the Icu half and slip the Cab out. Push out on the Cab connector lock to unlock the 24-way wiring connector and take out the Cab from the vehicle. For connection, link the 24-way wiring connector with the Cab and move the lock inward. Put the Cab into place beside the Hcu, over its valves and secure it with four mounting screws, tightening them to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Link the cable between the pump/motor and the chassis, lower the vehicle and attach the battery's negative wire. When done, you should fit the Drbiii to the car to initialize it and check for any errors, fixing them as they come up.
