How is the Grille Installed on Dodge Nitro?

The front lamp units should be secured to each side of the grille as step one. Put the grille onto the car following this and then secure the connections for the front lamp, side marker lamp and turn signal lamp. Make sure the lower grille slides into place until you feel the fasteners secure both sides at the same time. After that, nudge the handle from each side until the fasteners lock as you expect. Simply install the push pins to the grille first, then slide in the torx screw to the left fender/grille edge and finish by adding the torx screws to the left of the grille and the radiator support. On the other side, install another torx screw to the right of the grille and fender and then place the two torx screws on the side of the grille and radiator support. Lift the hood up and then place it back down so it seats properly.

How to Safely Detach the Grille on Dodge Nitro?

Before removing the grille, first take out the screws from the grille to the radiator support and the screw from the grille to the fender. Then, lift and hold the hood, as before, then unscrew the torx screws from the grille to the radiator support and the torx screw from the grille to the fender. Pop out the push pins on the edge to hold the grille and then gently pull on the assembly to take out the fasteners on both sides. Disconnect the front lamp, side marker lamp and turn signal lamp cables and carry on pulling the grille assembly to get at the fasteners at the bottom of the grille. The last part is to take the front lamp units from the grille on both sides.
