  Before anything else, you should unhook the battery and add Engine Support Fixture 8534B. Lift and support the automobile, then take out the front wheel and tire groups and if there is one, also the skid plate. Extract the engine oil, remove the transmission engine structural cover if fitted and eliminate the oil cooler line bracket from the transmission. After that, remove the front axle assembly and make sure to loosen both engine mount through bolts before you lower the vehicle. You don't have to disassemble the viscous fan or fan shroud while replacing the oil pan.   When pulling out your 4x2, first wipe clean the surface on the bedplate and the oil pan gasket, as well as the gasket surfaces on the oil pan and block. Check the oil pan gasket that is part of the engine and replace it if it is damaged.
