During service or repair, the pressure switch found in the power steering high-pressure hose requires special attention. Begin with removing the connector from the power steering pressure switch and set a drop cloth or area for you to catch any extra fluid. Make sure to use a back up wrench, as it won't bend the power steering line, before removing the switch. The switch needs to be compatible with your car's engines, so install it into the power steering line after that and tighten it to 8 - 11 Nm (70 - 100 inch lbs.). Attach the electrical connector to the switch, look at the power steering fluid level and put in fluid if required. The last step is to turn on the engine and check the power steering fluid once more, adding more if you see the level is too low.
