Unscrew the tamper proof mounting screws with a Snap On tamper proof torx bit TTXR20B2 or the equivalent, since these hold the multi-function switch to the steering column. Take the switch gently out from the steering column, unscrew the connector on the wire harness attached to the switch and plug to remove the multi-function switch wire harness connector. After removal, follow the opposite steps, particularly when tightening: secure the switch wire harness connector screw at 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) and the switch mount bolts at 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
