In order to remove the ignition lock cylinder, you need to insert the ignition key into the key cylinder first. First, take out the negative cable from the battery and afterward, open up the upper and lower covers on the steering column. It is important to place the shifter into the PARK spot. Look for the retaining pin as you remove the key, set the key to RUN, press down the retaining pin and take the key cylinder away from the ignition. For the ignition, once more make sure your key is in place in the ignition. Insert the cylinder into the housing, making sure it lines up with the ignition switch and push it until you can hear a click. Afterward, attach the upper and lower shrouds and resume the battery connection.
