Lift the wiper arm to lift the wiper blade above the glass which lifts the wiper arm latch plate; then press down to release the arm and leave it lifted off the glass. Refrain from using a screwdriver or prying device to keep the arm stable, since it could come off during operation. Gently tilt the wiper arm pivot toward the wiper arm while pulling to remove it. Before you begin the installation, move the ignition switch to ON and the wiper knob to OFF to park the wiper motor. Let the wiper pivots stop moving and after that, adjust the ignition switch to the OFF position. Place the wiper arms along the pivots when the motor is parked, so the end of the wiper arm is touching the upper border of the lower blacked-out area on the windshield (about ± 25 millimeters or ± 0.98 inches). After you have the index on, raise the wiper arm just a smidge to ease the tension of the spring, push the latch plate back so it clicks into place and then slowly lower the wiper arm onto the glass. First use the wipers and wetted windshields to determine if they are moving properly, then switch the wiper knob to OFF and tune the wiper arms as needed.
