  You cannot switch the wiper blades from the driver seat to the passenger seat; the special bridge and eight claws on the driver side do not occur on the passenger side. The part of each wiper element with the notch should always face the wiper blade end that is nearest to the pivot. Turn the knob controlling the wipers to its ON position and while the engine is off, cycle the wipers to a convenient area. Lift the wiper arm to lift the wiper blade off the glass, move the pivot block latch release tab to its base along the arm, then slide the blade toward the pivot end to allow the hook to release. Do not extract the hook from the blade superstructure until the wiper arm has fallen downward. Otherwise, springing back against the glass could damage it. Slowly glide the wiper arm tip down on the glass. For setup, direct the wiper arm away from the windshield, place the wiper blade near the drooping hook and tilt the notched retainer inward so it clicks onto the wiper pivot. Lift the wiper blade pivot block/latch to reach the hook formation and snap the latch release tab into the hole, then bring the wiper blade down and place it on the glass.
