Make sure to cut off and separate the wiper motor's negative wire from the battery first. After that, disconnect the wiper drive link from the wiper motor crank's ball stud. Raise the hood, then unplug the headlamp and dash wire harness connector attached to the motor from its pigtail. Undo the three screws holding the wiper motor to the cowl plenum panel reinforcement and pull the motor out of the cowl plenum panel. During installation, place the wiper motor below the cowl plenum panel. Install and tighten the three screws to secure it to the reinforcement, so they reach a torque of 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). After you've connected the headlamp to the dash wire harness, reconnect the wiper motor connector to its pigtail, connect the negative battery cable and close and latch the hood panel. Don't forget to put the wiper drive link onto the ball stud of the wiper motor crank.
