First, place the gasket on the manifold and then fit the manifold into its position. Attach every manifold bolt, tightening each by hand to a torque value of 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Then, add the heat shield and apply enough torque; tighten the nuts to a total of 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). Raise the engine slightly and steady it as you lower it, keeping an eye on the harness so it isn't damaged. At the end of lowering, remove the engine support fixture. Raise the car and bolt the right and left engine mounts tight. Set the exhaust flange onto the pipe bolts and lift the vehicle up again to reconnect the negative battery cable.
