The first thing to do is take out the negative battery cable and pull out the top throttle cable before servicing or repairing the fan blade. Incorporate the entire assembly formed by the fan shroud and fan blade/viscous fan drive into the vehicle and then fit the shroud. Place the fan blade/viscous fan drive on the water pump shaft, put back the fluid reserve/tank for every engine aside from the 8.0L V10 and connect the throttle cable. To finish, connect the battery's negative cable. After putting in the viscous fan drive, run the engine at about 2000 rpm for around two minutes to allow the fluid in the drive to spread evenly.
