    A:
To perform any battery desulfation or repair to the Transmission Position Switch/Sensor, first lift the car and install a drain pan below the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS). Shift the manual lever to the LOW position which is closest to you. Unplug the connection at the TRS and then remove both of the screws holding the TRS to the bracket. Pull the TRS completely out of the bracket and use Adapter 8581 to loosen the TRS mounting bracket in the transmission case. Take out the TRS bracket from the transmission case. Turn the transmission manual shaft lever into the manual low setting and install the TRS mounting bracket into the transmission case, applying 34 Nm (300 inch lbs.) effort with Adapter 8581. Secure the transflective reflector sensor into the mounting bracket so that the connector is positioned in front of the transmission and hold it in place with two screws tightened to 3.4 Nm (30 inch lbs.). Check that all sensors work correctly, move the transmission manual shaft lever to PARK, reattach the TRS connector, bring the vehicle to ground level and fill the transmission to the right level.
