  Make sure the Steering Column service is done after disconnecting the air bag system for safety reasons. First, take out the battery negative cable from connection. After that, take out the Steering Wheel and the steering column shrouds above and below. First, loose the wire connector from the back of the multi-function switch, then remove the screws holding the switch to the collar of the steering column and remove the switch. Afterwards, loosen and remove the screws connecting the Clock Spring to the multifunction switch. To start the installation, hook the Clock Spring onto the multifunction switch first, next position it on the steering column and fasten it in place with the retaining screws.
