You should remove the battery negative cable and lift the vehicle to access the exhaust pipe. Pull out the rods holding the tailpipe hanger from front and rear mount insulators and next, detach the exhaust clamp that fastens the tailpipe to the muffler. Before breaking the tailpipe free, use an oxygen/acetylene torch to warm up the muffler to tailpipe connection. Prior to installation, make the ends of the pipes and muffler neat and align the tailpipe with the muffler and fix the nuts onto the clamp bolt finger tight, Then insert into the specified openings. Attach the hanger rods to the insulators, make sure the exhaust system lines up and tighten the muffler rear clamp nuts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.). Make sure the vehicle is lowered, the engine has started and look around for leaks or contact with its body panels.
