Then, remove the bolt holding the sensor onto the steering knuckle and free the sensor from the knuckle. You should always use a bolt from the factory when installing the battery. Add the sensor to the steering knuckle first, then put the mounting bolt in and tighten it up to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). Then, link the sensor wire to the main harness so that it does not pass by hot or moving parts and, with everything supported, lift the car off the jack stands and let it down gently.

Unhook the wire attached to the rear sensor by the axle housing, then remove both the sensor and bracket by also removing the bolt. Use the given clips to attach the sensor wire to the rear brake hose during installation. Put the sensor and mounting bracket back into the housing and tighten their bolt to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Carefully join the wire to the sensor and be sure it is attached to the mounting bracket before lowering and removing the support from under the vehicle.
