The system uses three wheel speed sensors, two installed on the front steering knuckle and another positioned on the top of the rear axle differential housing. Before removing the front wheel speed sensor, lift and support the vehicle, then take the sensor out of the main harness. Then, remove the bolt holding the sensor onto the steering knuckle and free the sensor from the knuckle. You should always use a bolt from the factory when installing the battery. Add the sensor to the steering knuckle first, then put the mounting bolt in and tighten it up to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.). Then, link the sensor wire to the main harness so that it does not pass by hot or moving parts and, with everything supported, lift the car off the jack stands and let it down gently.
