Raise the wiper arm just enough that the blade is released from the windshield, then pull the arm latch plate until it "clicks" in place at the top and let go of the arm. Skipping the use of screwdrivers and prying tools keeps the arm stable and lowers the risk of separation during robot use. Take out the wiper arm end by rocking it back and forth from the pivot. Before putting on the wiper arms, turn the ignition to On and rotate the wiper control knob to its Off position so the wiper motor park is engaged. After the wipers adjust, rest them where you want them and then turn the ignition switch back to Off. Align the wiper arms with the motor in park mode, so the lowest section of the wiper arm is ± 25 millimeters above the blackout area, but touching it. With the wiper arm a bit raised, press the latch plate into the locked spot and slowly bring the arm down so the blade makes contact with the glass. After turning the wiper blades on, moisten the windshield, tap the wiper control knob to the off position and check if the wiper arms are at the edge of the windshield.
