  Prior to servicing the wiper motor, make sure the battery's negative cable is removed and isolated. Detach the wiper drive link from the round protruding part called the ball stud in the wiper motor crank arm. Push the hood release and then lift the panel up. Take out the wire connections between the motor's pigtail and the dash wire and the headlamp for the wiper motor. Remove the three screws holding the wiper motor to the cowl plenum panel reinforcement and get the wiper motor out of the cowl plenum panel. During installation, set the wiper motor under the cowl plenum panel and secure it to the reinforcement with the three screws tightened to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Plug the headlamp and dash wire harness connector to the wiper motor motor pigtail wire connector and then plug the negative battery cable back into the position where it belonged. Close and latch the hood panel and, finally, insert the wiper drive link onto the end of the wiper motor crank arm ball.
