  Raise the vehicle, secure it and remove the heat shield above the master cylinder's hydraulic line to service it. After that, unscrew the nuts holding the slave cylinder to the clutch, then carefully remove the slave cylinder. Take the plastic clips away from the lower and upper dash panels, where the hydraulic line is fixed. Reduce the suspension and take out the interlock switch from the clutch pedal. Take out the rod pin from the clutch master cylinder and check that the reservoir's cap is properly tightened to stop it from leaking. Loosen the clamps holding the clutch master cylinder to the dash and uninstall its clutches, reservoir and attached lines. During installation, put the cylinders and connecting line inside the engine compartment so the clutch hydraulic line faces toward the dash panel and is behind the other hoses and wires. Coat the inside diameter of the master cylinder push rod eye with a bit of grease, place the cylinder firmly on the dash and tighten the nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Connect the push rod pin and slot the clutch pedal position interlock switch back into the pedal. Fit the hydraulic line carefully into the dash panel with the plastic clips. Lift the vehicle once more and connect the slave cylinder, making sure the rod goes into the release lever and next tighten the cylinder nuts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Once the clutch linkage is new, the clutch hydraulic line should be securely connected to the clutch slave cylinder and shouldn't be removed. In the end, put the heat shield back on top of the hydraulic hose and test the linkage several times to check its work.

  You should not open or remove the hydraulic linkage at the quick disconnect on the slave cylinder. You should raise and support the vehicle, then remove the nuts holding the slave cylinder to the studs on the clutch housing and remove the slave cylinder before removing the clutch master cylinder. Disengage the plastic clips keeping the hydraulic line to the dash panel from both the lower and upper panel fasteners and lower the vehicle. Snip off the connection of the clutch pedal interlock switch wires, take out the retaining clip and pull the clutch master cylinder push rod off the clutch pedal. Look at the bushing in the pushrod and if it is worn or damaged, replace the hydraulic linkage. Be certain that the lid of the master cylinder reservoir is secure and that none of the fluid will leak, then take the nuts off the master cylinder from the dashboard and the screws holding the clutch fluid reservoir in place and remove the master cylinder along with both clutch cylinders, the reservoir and connecting lines. Place the reservoir on the clutch, lower the connecting lines and cylinders next to the engine and push the master cylinder in the dash panel. Secure the pipes and master cylinder with nuts. Grease the master cylinder bushing lightly, put the push rod on the clutch pedal pin and hold it in place with a retaining clip. Secure both position switch wires for the clutch pedal, install the reservoir on the dash and make sure to tighten the reservoir screws to 5 Nm (40 inch lbs.). Install the plastic clips for the hydraulic line to the dash panel, lift the car, fit the slave cylinder in place and then tighten the nuts to 23 Nm (200 inch lbs.) torque after putting the master cylinder cap in the release lever. For installation of a new linkage, secure the clutch hydraulic line to the slave cylinder, drop the vehicle and test the linkage to ensure it works.
