For installing the radiator on a 3.7L/4.7L/5.7L engine, make sure the fan shroud is fitted above the
Fan Blades and flipped rearward towards the engine first. Attach the rubber insulators to the bottom mounting features on the radiator, so that the alignment dowel fits in the hole on the front-end sheet metal vertical support post and the face bracket rests inside the lower radiator closure tube. Lift the radiator and guide its alignment dowel into the vertical post bracket while sitting the lower radiator support bracket on the closure tube. Place the bolts in the back of the upper radiator mount and tighten them so the torque is 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Add the lower hose to the radiator, pin it in place with a clamp and also clamp the power steering lines to the power steering oil cooler. Link the transmission oil cooler lines to the transmission oil cooler and hold them in place with secondary fasteners. Slide the fan shroud into the clips that are part of the radiator tanks and fasten them with bolts, giving them a tightness of 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Position the
Power Steering Hoses in the clip on the lower fan shroud and put in the windshield
Washer Reservoir tank, connecting the hose and electric line. Link the coolant reserve/overflow container hose(s) to the radiator filler neck, seal them with clamps and fit the coolant reserve/overflow container or degas container to the fan shroud, fasten all the bolts to 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Tie the upper radiator hose to the engine and then attach the clamp to it. Finally, install the battery negative cable. Fill the cooling system with coolant, run the engine until it is at normal temperature and examine the fluid levels in the cooling system.
