To install the water-to-oil cooler, position the oil cooler on the cylinder block and install capscrews to the cylinder block finger tight. After that, fit capscrews at the transmission adapter, torquing the bolt to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). When you fasten the lower mounting bolt to the cooler at the cylinder block, apply torque of 77 Nm (57 ft. lbs.) while using a back up wrench on the transmission cooler fittings to prevent damage to cooler. Subsequently, to the cooler at the cylinder block, tighten the upper mounting bolt to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). First, mount the starter motor, and then install the wire harness push-in clip to the bottom of the cooler bracket. Join the battery negative cables; fill the cooling system; check the level of the transmission oil and fill if necessary.
