How to service and repair Brake Line and brake hose on Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Except for emergency repairs, you should use a preformed metal brake tube for brake hose and line service, but double-wall steel tube can be used if factory replacement parts are not available. Special stretching tools are necessary to prevent tubes from curling or twisting and an ISO flaring tool kit is required for making an ISO flare. Start by cutting away the damaged tube with a Tubing Cutter and then remove any bumps inside using a straight tool. Once you have inserted the tube nut, put the tube into the flaring tool and check that it sits level with the bar and then tighten the tool onto the tube guard. Put the right-sized adapter on the flaring tool yoke screw and cover it with a lubricant. After that, set the adapter and yoke screw over the tube and then tighten the yoke screw until the adapter is correctly seated on the tool bar.
