Put on eye protection when using torches and be certain to not allow fires to come near fuel lines. Removing the sensors' connections from the wiring will help you avoid any damage. The first step is to cut the connection from the battery negative terminal and bring up the vehicle to support its weight. Take off the front tailpipe hanger rod and rear tailpipe hanger rod from their insulators, after that remove the muffler to converter clamp and muffler to tailpipe exhaust clamp. Heat both ends of the muffler with a torch, pull the tailpipe off the muffler connection, then remove the muffler-to-converter connection and take out the muffler from your vehicle. Set the muffler inside the hole of the catalytic converter flange pipe, put on the clamp and then hand-tighten the nuts. Place the tailpipe into the muffler's rear section, install the clamp and tighten the nuts by hand. Attach the tailpipe hanger rods to their insulators again, confirm the exhaust tubes are lined up and tighten the muffler clamp nuts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.). After finishing the alignment, drive the vehicle as low as possible, attach the battery negative cable and begin the engine. Examine both the exhaust and body panels for leaks or contact and alter the alignment as required.
