Before doing any work on the Pitman Arm, support and raise the vehicle, then take the cotter pins and retaining nuts off of the tie-rod end, idler arm and pitman arm. Undo the tie-rod end from the knuckle arm and take off the one at the center link. After that, take off the idler arm from the center link and remove the bolts holding the idler arms to the frame bracket to free them. Unscrew the ball studs from the center link and pitman arm, take off the nut holding the pitman arm onto the steering gear and finally use Remover C-4150A to remove the pitman arm. First, install the idler arms and hold them in place with nuts and bolts, then tighten the nuts to 155 Nm (115 ft. lbs.). Place the center link over the idler arm ball studs, close off and tighten the bolts to 64 Nm (47 ft. lbs.) and add new cotter pins. Attach the ball studs of the tie-rod ends to both arms of your steering knuckle and center link, tightening the nuts using LD 9/16 under 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) and HD 5/8 under 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.) of torque, then add new cotter pins. Set up the pitman arm in the steering gear, then tighten the retaining nut to 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.) Join the end of the drag link to the pitman arm and center link, then use the nut to tighten the link to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) and add new cotter pins. Ultimately, remove your supports and roll your vehicle down and if necessary, reposition the wheel toe.
