  How to service and repair the Wiper Linkage on Dodge Sprinter 2500?

  To service and repair the wiper motor linkage, begin by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable. Remove the wiper arms from the wiper pivots, then take out the five nuts securing the ventilation housing to the dash panel and the underside of the cowl top panel. Pull the ventilation housing forward to disengage it from the studs on the dash panel and lower it until it rests on the engine. Disconnect the wiper motor pigtail wire connector from the vehicle wire harness connector. Next, remove the nut and washer securing each wiper pivot housing to the outside of the cowl top panel, followed by the two screws that secure the wiper linkage module motor bracket to the flange on the underside of the cowl top panel. Remove the wiper linkage module and wiper motor from the underside of the cowl top panel as a unit, then detach the wiper motor from the wiper linkage module. For installation, first reinstall the wiper motor onto the wiper linkage module, then carefully position the wiper linkage module and wiper motor back to the underside of the cowl top panel as a unit. Install and tighten the two screws securing the wiper linkage module motor bracket to the flange on the underside of the cowl top panel to 6 N.m (50 in. lbs.), followed by the nut and washer securing each wiper pivot housing to the outside of the cowl top panel. Reconnect the wiper motor pigtail wire connector to the vehicle wire harness connector, reinstall the ventilation housing onto the dash panel and the underside of the cowl top panel, then reinstall the wiper arms onto the wiper pivots. Finally, reconnect the battery negative cable.
