To remove the radiator cooling fan, first disconnect the negative
Battery Cable. Next, detach the coolant line from the lower radiator shroud. The radiator fan assembly is threaded to the fan pulley, so remove the fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from the
Water Pump by turning the mounting nut clockwise as viewed from the front, noting that the threads on the radiator fan drive are reverse threaded. Use Counterholder 8930 to hold the pulley while removing the fan blade/viscous fan drive. After that, remove the upper air seal and the upper radiator hose. Finally, take out the radiator fan shroud and radiator fan, ensuring to store the viscous fan clutch in an upright position and not flat.
