Dodge Stratus Ignition Coil Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service an Ignition Coil in a 4-Cylinder Engine on Dodge Stratus?
    A:
First, make sure to disconnect the negative Battery Cable before working on the ignition coil for a 4-cylinder engine. After that, disconnect the connector from the coil pack and then remove the spark plug cables by twisting them off. After removing the cap, get rid of the coil pack mounting bolts and the coil pack. To put in the new coil pack, set it on the valve cover, tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 in. lbs.) and make sure it won't move. Reattach the electrical connector and put both the spark plugs back into the coil you added.
