Dodge Stratus Relay Block Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Replace a Faulty Relay Block in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) on Dodge Stratus?
    A:
When the PDC is serviced, the headlamp and dash wire harness are replaced as a unit and if a part inside the unit is damaged, the entire unit needs to be changed. Begin with the negative Battery Cable, as well as the air inlet covers, beginning by removing the housing and resonator. For each wire harness connector, make sure to disconnect it, while using the wiring diagrams, repair instructions and information about routing, retaining and the connector's details. After this, take off the fasteners that hold the wire harness ground eyelets in place on the vehicle and the chassis and free the retainers attached to the engine compartment wire harness. Take out the nut that keeps the PDC in place and remove the PDC and its related wires from the engine area at once. For installation, put the PDC in the engine compartment, make the mounting holes and slots of the PDC match those of the mounting bracket blades and fix it with the mounting nut. Marc the wire harness through the PDC, latch and mount every harness into the connecting clamps on the body and chassis and connect all the ground eyelets in the engine compartment with fasteners. Reattach each wire harness connector and then tie the negative cable from the battery to the vehicle.
