To repair and service the wiper motor linkage, start by taking off the wiper arms and blades and then the cowl screen. Following that, remove the wiper motor assembly and disconnect the wiper arm linkage with a ball joint/tie rod separator to separate the right and left ball cap from the ball. Using the same tool disconnect the drive link from the motor crank to separate the ball cap from the ball. Attach the drive link to the motor crank for installation, tightening the motor output crank nut to 25 to 30 Nm (19 to 23 ft. lbs.) if it has been taken off. Place the link ball cap above the ball and press-fit it against shoulder of the cap to lock it in place. In the end, reinstall the wiper motor assembly, the cowl screen, and the wiper arms.
