Pull back the knee blockers on both sides of the seat before you start working on the headlamp switch. Remove the ring around the headlamp switch next, by using a stiff wire or other tool to push up on the hole at the bottom while pulling gently on the knob to take it off; avoid breaking the locking tab. Lastly, pull off the instrument panel center bezel and unplug the wires for the cigar lighter, power window switch and rear window defogger if you have it. After that, take off the steering column shroud which might need you to lower the steering column to give more space. Afterwards, take out the instrument panel bezel and gently press the locking pins to remove the headlamp switch and pull the wire connector apart. When installing, just do the opposite of the steps above.
